Agency Background
Founded in 1935 by John T. Fretz, the John T. Fretz Insurance Agency built its reputation on the value of family ownership and personal attention to service. In 1969 the agency was incorporated and expanded with the addition of M. Scott Clemens, a nephew of John and recent graduate of Ursinus College. Today, Scott continues to serve as the agency principal and affirms the family legacy of serving the insurance needs of individuals, organizations and businesses in the local community.
"Our mission is to provide insurance products, services and advice with honesty, integrity and a clear understanding of the needs of our customers," Clemens said. "Our staff is involved in continuing education, and many have earned one or more prestigious professional designations."
Believing that growth is the key to effective market representation, Clemens has grown through service and an excellent sales team as well as with the acquisition of numerous local agencies. Most recently the Fretz Agency expanded into Lansdale with the addition of the Harold W. Cassel Agency and the Vanderslice, Dockx, Wildemore Agency, formerly of Jenkintown. "These acquisitions have provided an opportunity to expand Fretz quality service to new customers," Clemens stated. "As an independent agency, we represent many fine carriers and pride ourselves in carefully evaluating the insurance needs of each client and recommending the company which provides the best combination of price and coverage."
As a Trusted Choice Agency and advocate of the Independent Agency System, the Fretz Agency continues to provide value to its customers through service, knowledge and a commitment to excellence.
